Sunrise Tours is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1993. The company has grown steadily over the years, and now consists of 20 fantastic employees and offices in St. Louis, Indianapolis and Kansas City. Day 1: Depart
Head east on our deluxe motor coach for this patriotic tour, honoring the past and present of those that have fought for our freedom and to keep us safe. Overnight in Charleston, WV. D
Day 2: West Virginia
Travel through the heart of Appalachian country on the route to Richmond, VA. Visit the American Civil War Museum for an in depth look at how this critical time shaped the country we live in today. Enjoy dinner at a local favorite and an overnight stay. B, D.
Day 3: Williamsburg
Experience 18th century life in Colonial Williamsburg, with a hands-on visit to the place and time where America began to fight for her freedom. Meet the patriots and be inspired by the moments that led to our independence. From the daily life of an average family, to the footsteps of Thomas Jefferson, Williamsburg encompasses the entire colonial experience. Continue to Virginia Beach where you’ll check in for a 3-night stay at the SpringHill Suites, including your very own private oceanfront balcony. Day 4: Norfolk
After watching sunrise over the ocean from your balcony, spend the morning at the Military Aviation Museum and enjoy the largest flying collection of World War I and World War II era military aircraft in the world. Head to the neighboring city of Norfolk and visit the Botanical Gardens for a narrated tram tour before boarding the Spirit of Norfolk for a fun and relaxing dinner cruise. B, D.
Day 5: Virginia International Tattoo
Recently named the #1 group tour event in the United States, the Virginia International Tattoo honors America’s armed forces with an unforgettable show including a huge cast, stunning costumes, intricate choreography, and a dramatic musical soundtrack, all wrapped in pride and patriotism. The production rivals the largest tattoos in the world and is the greatest in the United States. Day 6: Marine Museum
Depart for Northern Virginia to immerse yourself in the history of our armed forces. Visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps, a lasting tribute to U.S. Marines - past, present, and future. Under the command of the Marine Corps University, interactive exhibits surround you with the sights and sounds of Marines in action. B, D.
Day 7: Columbus
Travel to Columbus, OH and visit the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, the only museum in America that honors all veterans, from all branches of service and all eras of our nation’s history. After a powerful experience at the memorial check into the Drury Inn for an overnight stay. B, hot apps
