Day 1: Ohio Overnight in central Ohio. D
Day 2: Washington, DC Continue eastward to visit the poignant Arlington Cemetery including a visit to John F. Kennedy’s tomb and the Tomb of the Unknowns. Enjoy dinner in Arlington, VA before checking in for a comfortable four-night stay at the full-service Hyatt Centric Hotel. Located in the chic Rosslyn District, the hotel is just steps from distinguished dining and shopping. B, D
Day 3: Washington, DC Our licensed DC tour guide boards the coach to visit the historical highlights of DC. Stand where global events have taken shape and view the many historic monuments framed in the vivid white and pink blossoms from more than 3,000 Japanese cherry trees along the Tidal Basin. Enjoy a guided Capitol Building Tour (based on availability). Visit historic Ford’s Theater and get comfortable in reserved seats for the beloved 1950’s musical comedy, Guys and Dolls, about big city gamblers and the women who love them. Day 4: Washington, DC – “Your Way” Today is a free day to explore DC your way. An included Potomac River Water Taxi ticket is provided to cruise past magnificent views of DC and the Cherry Blossoms from Old Town Alexandria to the hot new District Wharf to bustling Georgetown. The water taxi offers access to many important sites, including a moderate walk to the National Mall and Smithsonian museums from the Wharf District stop. Your tour manager is there to help you plan your day. B
Day 5: Washington DC Are you ready to walk in the shoes of a spy? Explore the new International Spy Museum to see the largest collection of espionage artifacts on public display, first-person accounts from top intelligence experts through interactive exhibitions and installations. Celebrate the Cherry Blossom festival at the Tidal Blossom before there will be time to visit the Smithsonian Institute museum or the Museum of the Bible showcasing rare artifacts spanning 3,500 years of Bible history. After dinner, return to Arlington and take in one last unparalleled 360˚ view of DC by rising 400 feet in the brand-new Observation Deck Tower. B, D
Day 6: Columbus, OH It’s time to begin our journey home. Travel to The Spring House for a step back in time with old-fashioned, homestyle fixin’s. Then, it’s off to Columbus, OH for the night. B, L
