Sunrise Tours is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1993. The company has grown steadily over the years, and now consists of 20 fantastic employees and offices in St. Louis, Indianapolis and Kansas City. We pride ourselves on delivering extremely high quality tour experiences at a fair price, and we consider repeat Sunrise Tours customers our most important marketing “tool”.



Day 1: Georgia Our journey to the “Old South” begins! Travel to Cartersville, GA for dinner and an overnight stay. D

Day 2: Savannah, GA It’s off to “Georgia’s First City” as Savannah welcomes us with southern hospitality. Join our local guide for a walking tour of the hauntingly beautiful Bonaventure Cemetery, featured in the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Experience genuine Savannah flavor while dining in an 1820s King Cotton warehouse during dinner at River House Seafood before checking in for a two-night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District. Day 3: Historic Savannah Board an open-air trolley for a narrated sightseeing tour along the cobblestone paved streets of Savannah, the country’s largest National Urban Historic Landmarked District. The rest of the day is yours to explore Savannah’s Historic District at your leisure! Stroll along the revitalized historic River Street filled with unique shops, boutiques and galleries. Or learn about the most infamous gangsters and rumrunners of the 1920s during an optional tour of the American Prohibition Museum (additional expense). Enjoy downhome southern cooking during dinner at a local favorite. B, D

Day 4: Charleston, SC In the South, we never say good-bye so we say “see you later” to Savannah! Travel to picturesque Wadmalaw Island in the heart of South Carolina’s lowcountry to visit the Charleston Tea Plantation, owned by the Bigelow Tea Company family. Learn firsthand how tea is made during an informative factory tour with samples of the plantation’s nine tea flavors. After a trolley tour of the picturesque grounds, enjoy a picnic lunch under century-old oak trees. Continue to Charleston for a narrated boat cruise to historic Fort Sumter. Learn about the fort’s pivotal role in the American Civil War during a ranger-led tour before unpacking for a two-night stay in Charleston. B, L

Day 5: Antebellum Charleston Embrace the history of Charleston on a visit Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, voted one of “America’s Most Beautiful Gardens,” by Travel + Leisure Magazine. Join naturalist guides for an action-packed tram tour of the plantation’s 600 acres of wetlands, forests and marshes – watch for alligators, great blue herons and more! Then, step back in time with a guided tour of the family home with a glimpse of life in the 19th century. After free time to explore Charleston’s historic City Market area, join our local expert for a guided tour of this city steeped in Colonial and Civil War history. Enjoy a delicious dinner with views of the harbor. B, D

Day 6: Asheville, NC Journey through the Blue Ridge Mountains to discover America’s Largest Majestic Home, the picturesque Biltmore Estate, completed by George Vanderbilt in 1895. After a gourmet lunch in the estate’s DeerPark Pavilion, spend the day exploring the Vanderbilt’s home and its surrounding century-old gardens filled with thousands of daffodils, tulips, azaleas and more. Continue to Knoxville, TN for an overnight stay. B, L
