The company has grown steadily over the years, and now consists of 20 fantastic employees and offices in St. Louis, Indianapolis and Kansas City. The 2021 Festival marks the 109th celebration of the gift of the 3,000 cherry trees from the People of Tokyo to the People of Washington, DC. Enjoy the spirit of this generous gift while exploring the highlights of Washington, DC.
Day 1: Washington, DC
Fly into Washington, DC and visit the poignant Arlington Cemetery including a visit to John F. Kennedy’s tomb and the Tomb of the Unknowns. Enjoy dinner in our nation’s Capital before checking in for a comfortable four-night stay at the centrally located full service Hyatt Plaza National Mall. Located just 4 blocks from the Smithsonian Museums and close proximity to the new L’Enfant Plaza the hotel offers the ideal location from which to explore the heart of the city. D
Day 2: Washington, DC
Our licensed DC tour guide boards the coach to visit the historical highlights of DC. Stand where global events have taken shape and view the many historic monuments framed in the vivid white and pink blossoms from more than 3,000 Japanese cherry trees along the Tidal Basin. Enjoy a guided Capitol Building Tour (based on availability). Visit historic Ford’s Theater and get comfortable in reserved seats for a musical sure to satisfy the mind and the soul. Day 3: Washington, DC – “Your Way”
Explore your favorite Smithsonian Museum or board the Potomac River Water Taxi to cruise past magnificent views of cherry blossoms from Old Town Alexandria to Georgetown to District Wharf. Your tour manager is there to help you plan your day. B
Day 4: Washington DC
Tap into your inner secret agent at the new International Spy Museum. Discover the largest collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on display and walk in the shoes of a detective while exploring first person accounts from top intelligence officers. Celebrate the Cherry Blossom festival at the Tidal Blossom before there will be time to visit the Smithsonian Institution museums or the Museum of the Bible showcasing rare artifacts spanning 3,500 years of Bible history. After dinner, return to the hotel. B, D
