Day 2: All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer Hear the whistle blow as this rail journey begins bright and early for a FULL day of incredible scenery through oversized windows. Relax in your well-appointed SilverLeaf train coach and witness the magnificent scenery of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. See forests and winding river canyons complimented by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains while enjoying historical narration and stories. Day 3: Rocky Mountaineer An early boarding on the train sets the stage for a full day journey to the regal Canadian Rockies. Prepare to be amazed at the dramatic scenery following the North Thompson River through the Mountains climbing ever nearer to the high peaks of the Continental Divide. While enjoying impeccable dining service and expert commentary, take in the highest peak in the CN Rockies, Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls and glide along Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Day 4: Jasper, AB Board our motorcoach for a private sightseeing tour of Jasper Village and its UNESCO-designated National Park. There will be free time this evening to explore more sights of this resort town including the brilliant night sky. B
Day 5: Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Travel south on the Icefields Parkway, one of the most stunning highways in the world. Keep an eye out for elk, deer, bighorn sheep and bears while passing snow peaked mountain caps on the way to the Columbia Icefields. Board an Ice Explorer for a smooth ride to the center of this 7,200 foot high Athabasca Glacier. Stop at Bow Lake en route to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Resort for a AAA 4-diamond dinner and an overnight stay. Walk along Emerald Lake or relax in this iconic property. B, D
Day 6: Yoho Park Lake Louise Wake early to watch the sunrise over the mountains and enjoy a morning at leisure. This afternoon, a local expert guides us into Yoho National Park to explore Spiral Tunnels, the rock bridge over Kicking Horse River and more. Day 7: Banff, AB Today is free to get acquainted with Banff. Perhaps ride up into the mountain aboard the Banff Gondola for eagle-eye views or visit the Whyte Museum, devoted to the culture of the area.
