Day 1: Pacific Northwest

Day 2: Skagit Valley
Visit Seattle’s lively Pike Place Market, the famous fish and vegetable market before heading north to lush Skagit Valley, WA. The Cascades and Skagit River create fertile soil for prime vineyards, so enjoy a swirl, swish and sip at a local vineyard before arriving at Farmhouse Restaurant for a home-style cooked dinner and their legendary Mile-High lemon meringue pie. Unpack for a 2-night stay at Swinomish Lodge and Casino where the natural beauty of the Padilla Bay and Mount Baker offer a relaxing stay. B, D

Day 3: Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
Attend the 36th annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, a Washington State tradition featuring over a million blooming tulips. At RoozenGarde, a site with ½ million hand planted tulips, a Washington State University Master Gardener details how their research influences sound agricultural practices. Enjoy a BBQ lunch before a visit to Tulip Town’s art gallery and windmill garden along with a trolley ride for a closer encounter in the tulip fields. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure to relax or try your hand at lady luck in the casino. B, L

Day 4: Victoria, BC
Board Washington State Ferry and wind though the San Juan Lopez and Orca islands amidst jaw dropping scenery. Can you spot an Orca whale or sea lion? Arrive Vancouver Island, featuring some of the most spectacular waterfront scenery and marine life in North America. Experience an explosion of color at Canada’s National Historic Site, Butchart Gardens, featuring 55 acres of meticulously kept gardens. Enjoy lunch overlooking the beautiful rose garden before unpacking for a 2-night stay in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC, a picturesque island city providing an escape from the hurried world. Day 5: Victoria, BC
With a local expert, experience Victoria’s combination of old world history and new world cosmopolitan centers, including Fisherman’s Wharf, James Bay, Craigdarroch Castle and more. Visit the Fairmont Empress Hotel, a social centerpiece since 1908, and indulge in the world-famous Tea at the Empress, a coveted meal served to royalty and celebrities for over a century. The rest of the day is free to explore and participate in optional activities including a water taxi ride on the Inner-Harbour, a visit to the Royal BC Museum and shopping on Government Street (some with additional expense). Day 6: Tacoma
Board MV Coho Ferry for a scenic journey between Victoria and Port Angeles, WA through the Strait of Juan de Fuca, offering spectacular views of the sprawling Olympic Peninsula. Celebrate America’s “car” love affair at LeMay Automobile Museum with guides sharing their passion and knowledge of over 300 cars. A delicious farewell dinner and stories with your fellow travelers before overnighting in Tacoma, WA. B, D
