Day 1: Ohio
Travel east through Ohio for an overnight stay. D

Day 2: Poughkeepsie, NY
Journey across Pennsylvania to New York. Dine at Shadows on the Hudson Restaurant featuring great views of the Hudson River. Unpack for 2-night stay at ideally located Hampton Inn-Poughkeepsie. B, D

Day 3: The Best of Hudson River Valley
Get to know America’s longest serving U.S. President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, with a guided tour of his lifelong home “Springwood”, museum, gardens and final resting place. Continue to Hyde Park, the 54- room Vanderbilt mansion adorned with formal, Italian-style gardens, for a guided tour. Wind down surrounded by 19th century charm at our private tour and dinner at Locust Grove Estates – a preservation of the romantic, grand landscape design established by Samuel Morse more than 150 years ago. Day 4: Beauty, Brains and Brawn
Find matchless beauty at Boscobel House and Gardens. This Neoclassical mansion and 68-acre grounds houses the finest collection of decorative art from the Federal Period. Savor lunch at West Point in the historic Hotel Thayer surrounded by Old World charm. Tour the US Military Academy at West Point, the oldest military academy in the country. Day 5: Living Works of Art
Explore the spectacular “living works of art” that are Wave Hill and the New York Botanical Garden. Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx featuring spectacular views of the Hudson River and Palisades. Founded in 1891, the NY Botanical Garden is an icon and the largest botanical garden in the US. Our visit coincides with the Garden’s Rose Garden Weekend, an annual celebration of one of the finest Rose Gardens on the east coast! B, D

Day 6: Fixtures to Flowers, a NYC tour
Join a local expert and explore the Big Apple today! See New York City fixtures like Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center and revel in the refinement of Central Park – including the six-acre Conservatory Garden featuring three distinct styles – and the High Line. A highlight of the tour will be a visit to poignant 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero and admission to the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Ascend to the top of One World Observatory, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, for incredible panoramic views of New York City! B, D

Day 7: Pennsylvania
Depart the Big Apple and visit Hershey Gardens in the “sweet” town of Hershey, PA before traveling to overnight in eastern Ohio. Opened in 1937 as a small garden of roses, Hershey Gardens has blossomed into a stately, 23-acres of botanical beauty. B, D
