Oregon has a strikingly scenic coast, volcanic mountains, crystal clear lakes, deserts, world-class diverse dining and folks who are proud of their home! Join us as we explore wonders of Oregon.

Day 1: Fly to Portland
Fly into Portland for a welcome dinner and overnight stay at the Embassy Suites Downtown, located just steps from the famous VooDoo Doughnut shop! Relax in your two-room suite and enjoy vintage décor reflecting its 1912 era roots. D

Day 2: Mount Hood
The city of Portland has a regular spot on the “top places to live” lists. Discover why as a local expert shows us the city including a stop at the famousInternational Rose Test Gardens. Enjoy a spectacular drive along the scenic byway of the Columbia River Gorge enjoying the vistas of Mount Hood. Stops include the gorgeous, 620-foot Multnomah Falls for spectacular views and lunch at rugged Timberline Lodge 6,000 feet up on Mount Hood! B, L

Day 3: Newport, Oregon
Head west to the legendary Pacific Coast Highway 101. Take a self-guided tour and sample some of the award-winning products at Tillamook Cheese Factory. Arrive at Cape Meares State Park and the century-old lighthouse to admire ocean views and the Octopus Tree. Visit the “Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast,” Depoe Bay, and watch for the resident pod of grey whales. Enjoy a two-night stay with private ocean view balconies at the Elizabeth Street Inn. Day 4: Oregon Coast
Board the 65’ Discovery for a marine discovery cruise. Whales, sea lions, sea birds, seals, lighthouses and more will be explored during our naturalist-led cruise. Visit the top attraction on the Oregon Coast, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, for a behind-the-scenes tour and lunch overlooking the Passages of the Deep exhibit. Marvel at spectacular ocean views from the tallest lighthouse in Oregon, Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Under a canopy of stars, enjoy a beachfront bonfire with s’mores. (Weather permitting) B, L

Day 5: Sand Dunes
Travel south on Hwy 101 to Florence, OR, home to some of the world’s largest sand dunes, for a scenic Giant Dune Buggy tour. Continuing down the lighthouse dotted coast, arrive in Bandon, OR for a visit with an amazing organization whose works take ocean pollution and create art. Washed Ashore truly is saving the sea! Dinner and an overnight stay at the Bandon Inn, recently named a top destination in Oregon. B, D

Day 6: Hellgate Canyon on the Rogue River
Badgers, bobcats and bears, oh my! These are just a few of the rehabilitated animals you will visit at the Wildlife Images Sanctuary. Board a boat for a guided excursion into Hellgate Canyon on the Rogue River amidst remarkable rock shapes carved by the river’s hydraulics. This is the canyon where John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn filmed “Rooster Cogburn.” Our boat cruise will include a country BBQ dinner at the O.K. Corral. Unpack your bags for two nights at the Ashland Hills Hotel in Ashland, OR. B, D

Day 7: Ashland
Enjoy a relaxing morning in your suite at the hotel which sits on 14 acres in scenic southern Oregon. You may want to shop the downtown Ashland shops and eateries. Ashland is also home to the Tony Award winning Oregon Sheakespeare Festival. Attend a production (TBD) that will include a prologue or backstage tour for an enhanced experience. B, L

Day 8: Crater Lake Lodge
Unpack your camera and travel east through the Umpqua National Forest, featuring verdant stands of hemlock and fir trees, to Crater Lake National Park. Arrive at one of our country’s crown jewels, the historic Crater Lake Lodge was founded in 1902 and is the 5th-oldest national park in the US. Enjoy free time to explore the lodge, a delicious dinner in the dining room, and a special overnight stay in this 1915-built historic lodge. As the sun sets, be sure to take a glimpse of the starry sky without all the city lights! B, D

Day 9: Crater Lake Rim Tour
Deep, pure and brilliantly blue in color, featuring sheer surrounding cliffs, a picturesque island and a violent volcanic past, Crater Lake is one of the most photographed lakes in the country. Learn about this natural wonder during our guided tour around the rim of the lake with a national park ranger. Arrive in the Portland area for dinner and an overnight stay. B, D
