Day 4: Palm Springs, CA

Day 5: Palm Springs, CA
Board the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, the world’s largest rotating tram car, and travel along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon up 8,516 feet to the Mountain Station of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. What a memorable view of the picturesque vistas! After lunch, the afternoon is yours to soak in the golden sun, shop, lounge by the pool or visit the Palm Springs Art Museum. Day 6: Riverside, CA
Say good-bye to the desert and begin the trek west. Riverside, CA, is the birthplace of the citrus industry and home to the largest Mission Revival Style building in the US. Tour the Mission Inn Hotel including major rooms that are not accessible to the public. Be sure to perch in the oversized chair built for President Taft’s 1909 visit! Explore California’s Citrus State Historic Park, a site that recaptures the time when “Citrus was King” in CA. Overnight in the Los Angeles airport area. B, D
