Day 1: Ohio
Journey east along interstate 70 to mid-Ohio for dinner and an overnight stay. D

Day 2: Niagara Falls
Board the world-famous Maid of the Mist for a thrilling boat ride under Niagara Falls (poncho provided)! After a delicious dinner, overnight in upstate New York. B, D

Day 3: Garden of the Great Spirit
Visit 1000 Islands where the St. Lawrence River meets Lake Ontario. Depart Alexandria Bay, aboard the award-winning Uncle Sam Boat Tours to enjoy a narrated luncheon cruise of this stunning scenic region. Catch a glimpse of vacation retreats for some of the wealthiest people in North America! Visit historic Boldt Castle on Heart Island and then travel to Montreal for a 2-night stay in the recently renovated Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. B, L

Day 4: Bonjour Montreal!
Montreal is renowned for its duality of Old World charm infused with North American energy. A local expert will acquaint us with Montreal’s sights including spectacular Notre-Dame Basilica, the colorful port area, the modern bustling underground shopping and Mount Royal for panoramic views of this lovely city. Day 5: Val-Jalbert
Depart Montreal for Chambord and enjoy the scenery of the Laurentian Mountains along the rocky Canadian Shield. Did you know these mountains consist of Precambrian rocks over 540 million years old? Explore Val-Jalbert Historical Village, an authentic village that recreates and celebrates the 1920’s. Board the old Trolleybus and learn how the village’s Quiatchouan Falls helped this community enjoy the luxury of electricity 25 years before anyone else in the province. B, D

Day 6: Rendezvous with Nature
In the gorgeous Charlevoix region, the Saguenay Fjord, carved by Ice Age glaciers, is the only navigable fjord in North America. The best way to view the precipitous cliffs, the statue of Notre Dame du Saguenay and stunning scenery is aboard a cruise boat with Les Croisieres du Fjord. Disembark in picturesque L’Anse-Saint-Jean for lunch before traveling the countryside to the charming village of La Malbaie for a 2-night stay at the 4-star Fairmont Manoir Richelieu copper roofed castle, turned luxury hotel. Relax this evening and connect with the mountains and the sea. B, L

Day 7: Whale Watching Cruise
Parked at the foot of a dramatic fjord sits Tadoussac, a 416-year-old historic town situated where warm fresh waters of the Saguenay mix with the frigid, salt waters of the St. Lawrence River and attract krill, which attracts whales! Board a “croissiers” (cruise) boat for a narrated whale watching cruise. Enjoy a meal at 1870 Hotel Tadoussac, a landmark resort on a beautiful bay and explore the island including the Tadoussac Chapel, the oldest wooden church in Canada built in 1747. B, L

Day 8: Charlevoix to Quebec City
Tour the factory of Laiterie Charlevoix and learn how the terrain and culture of Baie-St-Paul cultivates a sustainable cheese enterprise. Arrive Rue Saint-Jean- Baptiste “main street” to stroll, shop or enjoy a sweet. Enroute to Quebec City, visit the family owned Copper Art Museum and learn how copper ore is transformed into beautiful art. A special treat is planned for a traditional sugar shack dinner meal with live entertainment and poured “taffy on snow” for dessert. Unpack for a 2-night stay in Quebec City. B, D

Day 9: Quebec City Freestyle Day
This morning, a local expert joins our coach for an informative tour of the most European of North American cities, Quebec City. See the massive stone architecture and the heavily fortified walls and charm of Old Quebec City. The rest of the day is yours to explore this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage treasure. You may shop in the cobblestone streets of Old Town, ride the Funiculaire, visit historical sites of interest or simply relax in a café. B, D

Day 10: Au Revoir!
