Day 1: Flight
Fly to Spokane, WA to begin this scenic adventure. D
Day 2: Flathead Valley
Tucked into the northwest corner of Montana, the Flathead Valley features a mild climate protected by mountain ranges and lakes. Visit Kalispell’s famed National Historic Registry Conrad Mansion and learn how Mr. Conrad, a southerner, made his fortune. Be sure to see the guest room where Teddy Roosevelt slept! Enjoy Montana’s warm western hospitality at dinner before unpacking for a 2-night stay in Kalispell. B, D
Day 3: Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park is a must see as a partner in the International Peace Park. Board the “Red Jammers” and embark on the Mountain Majesty Tour which follows the glacially carved valleys into the heart of Glacier National Park on the Going-to-the-Sun Road and onto the top of the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. After lunch in the park, enjoy the fresh air and views of Glacier’s pristine forests, alpine meadows and rugged mountains while traveling to Whitefish to experience its western vibe. B, L
Day 4: Banff
Cross the international border into Kootenay National Park where scenic views of mountain rivers and hot springs dot the landscape. Savor a European lunch in Radium Hot Springs before continuing to Banff to experience the spectacular Canadian Rocky Mountains and the small-town charm that Banff offers. After dinner, unpack your bags for a 2-night stay at the premier Rundlestone Lodge conveniently located in downtown Banff. B, L
Day 5: Scenic Float
Experience Banff with a professional local expert. Savor lunch at the 4-star Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and embark on a scenic float trip on the Bow River for a different perspective of Banff National Park and its ecology. Day 6: Banff National Park
Traveling through Banff National Park, visit Lake Louise, the most photographed spot in the Canadian Rockies. Take time to walk to the edge of the Lake for a picture and a gourmet 4-star lunch in the hotel. Then it’s on to Jasper for a 2-night stay at the Sawridge Inn, a property which offers premier lodging in the midst of the vast, unspoiled grandeur of 4,200 square mile Jasper Park, Canada’s largest park. Day 7: Jasper
Explore the many features of Jasper National Park highlighted by Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon and the history of this 100 year old charming mountain village of Jasper with our personal guide. Board the the Jasper aerial Sky- Tram to soar up 7,470 feet for eagleeye majestic views of the mountains, valleys and river. Don’t forget your camera! This evening, try star viewing in this unique setting where the Rockies act as a natural shield from the glow of neighboring cities. B, L
Day 8: Athabasca Glacier
Enjoy a snow-coach ride on an all-terrain Ice Explorer across the surface of the Athabasca Glacier. Take a picture at the azure blue Peyto Lake with the Canadian Rockies in the backdrop. Continue south to Calgary for a farewell dinner and an overnight stay. B, D
