Helpful Hints
Looking for a sweet treat? On Day 3, while exploring Savannah during your leisure time, stop by Leopold’s Ice Cream. A local institution since 1919, Leopold’s serves classic ice cream flavors in a charming retro setting. Don’t miss their famous tutti-frutti flavor!

Traveling from Wadmalaw Island to Charleston waterfront, see one of the oldest living trees in the U.S., the Angel Oak Tree, estimated to be 400-500 years old. The Angel Oak’s massive, sprawling limbs make it a peaceful and awe-inspiring sight to see.

While exploring Fort Sumter National Historic Park, you will have an hour to stand on the grounds where America’s deadliest war began while hearing stories such as the Sergeant Peter Hart who raised a shell-torn flag during bombardment. Before leaving, be sure to visit the Museum store for souvenirs.

Spring is one of the best times to visit Biltmore when Biltmore Blooms takes place. The gardens come alive with tulips, azaleas, and rhododendrons, making it a photographer’s dream. After the house tour, exit the front door, turn right (south) and walk to the amazing garden experience.
