DAY 1: WELCOME TO BOSTON!

Fly to Beantown for a welcome dinner and overnight stay before starting your journey down the Atlantic coast. D

DAY 2: MYSTIC

Head south to Mystic, Connecticut, and embrace the New England charm that has made this a popular destination. Explore the shops in downtown Mystic, including the famous “Mystic Pizza” restaurant before unpacking for a two-night stay. B, D

DAY 3: MYSTIC SEAPORT/NARRAGANSETT BAY/OYSTERS

At the Mystic Seaport Maritime Museum, discover the Charles W. Morgan whaleship, a working preservation shipyard, historic gardens, maritime art gallery, and more. Cross into Rhode Island for Narragansett Bay. Learn about the area on a scenic lighthouse cruise, showcasing 10 gorgeous lighthouses, multiple islands and miles of stunning coastline. Feast on a delicious boxed lunch from Matunuck Oyster Restaurant featuring farm and pond to plate! Embark on an Oyster Farm tour and learn the harvest process of the Potter Pond Estuary. B, L

DAY 4: CAPE MAY LIGHTHOUSE

Head south for Cape May, New Jersey: the oldest seaside resort in the United States! This evening, a personal guide shares tales of local heroes and legends on the drive to Cape May Lighthouse to watch the Sunset Beach Flag Ceremony at dusk. Overnight in Cape May, NJ. B, L

DAY 5: EMLEN PHYSICK ESTATE/REHOBOTH BEACH

A narrated trolley tour will take us through the quaint seaside resort of Cape May, where we will explore the treasures and landmarks in the Historic District. Tour the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s Victorian house museum. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at the historic Washington Inn. Board the Cape May Ferry and relax as we make our way across the Delaware River and into the first state to ratify the United States Constitution! Arrive in Rehoboth Beach for a two-night stay in this remarkable village. B, L

DAY 6: CAPE HENLOPEN STATE PARK/LEWES

After a leisurely morning, visit Cape Henlopen State Park with a local expert and continue on a guided tour of Lewes, Delaware: a community founded in 1631 as the “first town in the first state.” Shop the boutiques and savor a local ice cream, before traveling back to Rehoboth Beach. Spend your afternoon at leisure, strolling the boardwalk or dipping your toes in the ocean, before reuniting for dinner. B, D

DAY 7: AIR MOBILITY COMMAND MUSEUM/ANNAPOLIS

Head north to Dover, Delaware, and visit the special Air Mobility Command Museum. Learn how Hangar 1301 was involved in secret rocket developments during WWII and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Completed in 1791, a guided tour of the Old State House shares Delaware’s role in the American Revolution, and stories about the patriots who were there. Arrive in Annapolis, Maryland for an evening at your leisure and an overnight stay. B, D

DAY 8: US NAVAL ACADEMY/CITY DOCKS

See where enthusiastic young men and women train in the Navy and Marine Corps at the US Naval Academy. The guided tour includes Bancroft Hall, the crypt of John Paul Jones and more. Watch the noon formation before lunch in the Naval Academy Club, a military tradition for 100 years. Explore historic Annapolis on a narrated trolley tour including the Maryland State House, the oldest state capitol still in continuous legislative use. Head to Baltimore to begin your journey home, carrying with you fond memories of our country’s “smallest” states. B, L

Identification
A government-issued ID is required to visit the Naval Academy.

Luggage
Orange luggage tags are provided and are to be placed on your “checked luggage” (large bag). You do not need a tag for your carry-on bag, for which you will be responsible for taking on and off the coach. There is limited space in the cabin of the coach, so unless you require your carryon bag while traveling, we will stow it in the luggage compartment.

Each reservation requires a $250 per person deposit planning fee (exceptions may apply) to be credited toward your final payment. Some or all of your deposit may be non-refundable per our cancellation schedule noted in these Terms & Conditions below.
