Helpful Hints
Longwood Mansion was designed by architect Samuel Sloan in 1859. However, the construction of the home stopped in 1861 at the start of the Civil War. Of the 32 rooms planned for the house, only nine rooms on the basement floor were completed. Today, it stands as a fascinating glimpse into the past, with the interior remaining in its original and unfinished condition.

The Delta Music Museum was established to celebrate and safeguard the musical heritage of the Delta region, renowned for producing many iconic artists in genres like blues, rock 'n' roll, and country. It has become recognized as a significant cultural institution in Louisiana and is a vital destination for those interested in the musical history of the South.

At Frogmore Plantation, tour eight historical buildings and a rare Smithsonian quality steam cotton gin. Take an opportunity to pick your own cotton. Note: The December tour will feature a live vocalist performing parlor music and songs from the quarters that are intertwined with narration, detailing the holiday season!

Weather
The average temperature in April reaches a high of 77 and a low of 54.
