DAY 1: MICHIGAN

Travel to Mid-Michigan for dinner and an overnight stay. D

DAY 2: TORONTO

Head northeast to trendy Toronto for a two-night stay in the centrally located 5-star Fairmont Royal York with hand-painted ceilings and glamorous chandeliers that harken back to its opening in 1929. This evening, rise 1136 feet in 58 seconds for dinner and an eagle’s eye view of Toronto at the CN tower. Note: Fly tour arrives in Toronto today. B, D

DAY 3: TORONTO

Explore the bustling city of Toronto with a local expert, including a stop at The Distillery District – home to the Love Locks and over 40 boutiques and one-of-a-kind shops! After dinner, attend a live theatre production [show TBD] at the Historic Princess of Wales Theater in the Toronto Theatre District. B, D

DAY 4: QUEBEC CITY

Travel to Quebec and enjoy a rustic and traditional sugar shack dinner experience with live entertainment and poured “taffy on snow” for dessert. Check into our hotel for the next three nights. Standing grand on a bluff overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River, the 5-star Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is not merely a hotel located in the heart of Old Québec - it IS the heart of Old Québec! DAY 5: QUEBEC CITY

Join our local guide for informative exploration of the most European of North American cities, Quebec City. See the massive stone architecture, the heavily fortified walls and the charm of Old Quebec City. This afternoon is free to explore, shop and acclimate into the local culture before dinner at the historic Aux Anciens, known for traditional Québécois cuisine! B, D

DAY 6: QUEBEC CITY

Relax in our impressive hotel this morning before we visit to Montmorency Falls for a cable car ride enjoying waterfall views for 272 feet up to the Manoir for a delectable lunch. Tour St. Anne de Beaupre, where you’ll be captivated by the majestic waterfall and the spiritual ambiance of the basilica. Afterward, enjoy free time in Quebec City to immerse yourself in its charm. Wander through the historic streets of Old Quebec, savor delectable cuisine at local restaurants, shop for unique souvenirs, or simply soak up the atmosphere of this French Canadian city. B, L

DAY 7: MONTREAL

Enjoy breakfast before we travel to Montreal for a stay at the 4-star Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. This afternoon, our local tour guide will acquaint us with Montreal’s cultural heritage and cosmopolitan blend of old and new as we see all the “must-see sights” including Montreal’s crown jewel, the Notre-Dame Basilica. DAY 8: OTTAWA

Journey to Canada’s beautiful capital city of Ottawa for a two-night stay at the 4-star Fairmont Château Laurier, a magnificent limestone edifice with turrets and masonry reminiscent of a French Château. Visit Canada’s largest and most popular cultural institution, The Canadian Museum of History. B, D

DAY 9: CANADIAN TULIP FESTIVAL

With a local guide, discover the sites of Ottawa and the Tulip Festival, featuring more than three million tulips. Visit Commissioner’s Park, Parliament Hill and Sussex Drive, view the official residences of the Prime Minister and Governor General, and many other sights. Board a 100% electric boat for a cruise tour on the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to learn about its historic engineering and enjoy views of Ottawa’s highlights. The evening is free for you to explore. B

DAY 10: NIAGARA FALLS

Journey along the shores of Lake Ontario into Niagara Falls, Ontario. Dine at the prominent Skylon tower revolving dining room, located 775 feet above the falls with incredible views. This evening,
check in for an overnight stay at our hotel located within easy walking to the SkyWheel and seawall to view Niagara Falls. B, D

DAY 11: NIAGARA FALLS

Celebrate Victoria's Day as we board Canada's Niagara City Cruises boat for a cruise past American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and into the very heart of Horseshoe Falls for an exhilarating up-close encounter with the famous natural wonder, Niagara Falls. After crossing the border into the USA, enjoy lunch at Templeton Landing — with water views of the Erie Basin. This afternoon, travel west to Ohio for an overnight stay. B, L

Helpful Hints
During your free time in the Historic Old Quebec take a ride on Le Funiculaire. Built in 1879, the cabins scaled up and down the escarpment by means of a counterweight water process and steam power. Now, revamped with modern technology, it is the only Funiculaire of its kind in North America!

Missing your furry friend? Meet the Fairmont Canine Ambassadors! Daphnie, a St-Pierre breed, can be found welcoming guests at Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. And, meet Stewart, the tail-wagging sovereign of Fairmont Chateau Laurier.

It is not necessary to be fluent in French to enjoy this tour. Canada has 2 official national languages; English and French. Quebec is the only province that is primarily Francophone, but Quebecois speak both languages fluently. Did you know all federal institutions are bilingual and operate and provide services in both official languages.

For your evening in Ottawa on Day 9, visit the Byward Market located within walking distance from your hotel. Shops, eateries and the “Ottawa” sign make this pedestrian area a must-see stop. Be sure to try a “beavertail” they are delicious!

Moderate to extensive walking is required to fully enjoy this tour. Some walking will be on uneven cobblestone paths and could consist of slight hills especially in Quebec City. Bring your comfortable/sturdy walking shoes.

Itinerary Notes
Although this tour does not reach particularly high elevations, the 2 tower experiences (In Toronto and Niagara Falls, ON) reach approximately 1815 feet for remarkable views of the cities.

Will I get wet on the Niagara City Cruise to Niagara Falls? Yes, while wearing the complimentary hooded rain poncho provided, you may still get wet on the tour. For those not wanting to be in the direct line of the mist, the boat has an indoor covering.

Canadian Trip Information
The currency is the Canadian Dollar. Although credit cards are recommended for ease in monetary transactions, there will be places where you may convert your US currency to Canadian Dollars. The current exchange rate is $0.80 USD = $1 CAD. Gratuities should be paid in the local currency whenever possible. Like the USA, Canada uses 110 volts, 60 Hz. It is not necessary to use an adaptor or converter with appliances and devices that you use in the US. Please check with your carrier regarding cell phone service and fees.

Please note that Canada views any type of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) conviction as a serious offense. A past conviction of DUI will likely not allow one to travel into Canada. Should this be a concern, we suggest visiting the following website for information: http://www.cic.gc.ca.

Other General Information
We will send 3 key communications for your tour; “Get Ready” is your email confirmation and initial tour information sent upon registration, “Get Set” email will be sent about two months before departure, “Go” trip documentation mailing is sent via USPS 3-4 weeks before departure and will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags and final departure information.

Travel Protection is optional and highly recommended and can be purchased until the day before departure. We offer Travel Guard from AIG, which costs 8.5% of your tour, information about which will be sent with your Get Ready email.

Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes: Professional Sunrise Tour Director, meals as indicated, local step on guides including gratuity (international tour guide gratuity inclusion vary by tour), deluxe motorcoach transportation w/rest room, admission to activities and events as indicated, airfare from designated airports, transportation to/from designated airports from our convenient local pickup points*, luggage handling at hotels when available

We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and our staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver may be $5-$7per person, per day on tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers appreciate gratuities (suggest $5 per person) for excellent service as well. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or pass out envelopes.

We are happy to offer refreshments on most motorcoach travel days on tour. We recommend you bring a refillable water bottle to maintain healthy hydration.

If less than 4 people request a pickup point, we may ask that you choose another pickup point from which to join your Sunrise Tour.

If you would like to join a tour from a city not listed as a departure point, we would love to have you along! Please discuss arrangements with our friendly reservation team. From a departure city not listed, typical airfare will be +$100 higher than our published fare for domestic tours, and +$200 for international tours.

If you have a TSA precheck or Airline Rewards numbers, you MUST give those numbers to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure, otherwise they may not be applied.

Preferred seating may not be available on group air. In some cases, seats are not assigned until the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy seat on the flight; it does not include seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available at an additional cost.

To help make our tours the most comfortable in the business, we limit Sunrise Tours motorcoaches to 80% capacity, or 44 passengers on a coach built for 55. We reserve the right to amend this practice.

Your Tour Director will rotate seats on the motorcoach each day of your tour. A single fare does not guarantee two seats on coach; you may be seated next to another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
