Tom Keller
Tour Director
A native of St. Louis, Tom grew up in south St. Louis County near Grant’s Farm but lived in the historic Shaw neighborhood on the city’s Near Southside for many years. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees and spent most of his professional career in public relations, advertising, marketing and special events. He also served for a year as a press secretary for the mayor of St. Louis. After a stint as a train engineer at the St. Louis Zoo, Tom attended the International Tour Management Institute (ITMI) in San Francisco where he earned a tour manager certification. Now, in his fifth year as a tour manager, Tom enjoys traveling around the United States and working to make every one of his Sunrise tours the best experience possible for all his guests. A confirmed “people person,” Tom engages his guests on tours with challenging trivia games and selects films to show on the coach that have some connection to specific tours. He believes that to be a good traveler you must be flexible and have a sense of humor. Tom is married and has two children and four grandchildren. In his free time, he likes to read, watch films, play golf, walk and, of course, travel.
