Margie has spent her entire professional career in the travel industry, managing hotels in the St. Louis area for 40 years. She has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Mgmt. from St. Louis Community College, and studied Social Work at the Univ. of Dayton prior to that. Her love for travel has taken her to 34 countries, from all over the US to Canada, Mexico and Europe, from Russia to the Far East, and even on safari in Kenya – an amazing experience! Caribbean cruising has also been a favorite way to travel, with over 15 cruises taking her to more than 13 islands, including Bermuda. After retiring from the 24/7 hotel life in 2014, she found she missed the daily interaction with her guests, and joined Sunrise in May of 2019. She is loving the chance to talk travel with people, helping them plan their next adventure! When she is not traveling, Margie volunteers at the Earthway Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden, promoting and helping to teach sustainability. She has also done dog rescue for many years, and currently has one dog, an Australian Shepherd named Molly.
