Day 1: Ohio
Overnight in central Ohio. D

Day 2: Washington,DC
Continue eastward to visit Arlington Cemetery including a visit to John F. Kennedy’s tomb and the Tomb of the Unknowns. After dinner at a local favorite, District ChopHouse, check into the award winning Gaylord National Resort, a waterfront property in National Harbor featuring a stunning 19-story glass atrium and sweeping views of the Potomac River. Retreat to your luxurious accommodations to prepare for a “capital” adventure! B, D

Day 3: Washington DC
Enjoy an in depth tour with a local guide and stand where global events have taken shape. Spend time at the Smithsonian, the world’s largest museum complex, to explore at leisure. B, D

Day 4: Washington, DC
Arrive at George Washington’s Mount Vernon to tour one of the most iconic homes in America. Take in the beautiful scenery along the Potomac River as we embark on a narrated cruise aboard a luxury yacht up the river to DC. Visit the Newseum, an interactive museum exploring communication and its relation to current events throughout history. Dinner at Tony and Joe’s Seafood Place before returning to resort. B, D

Day 5: Philadelphia
Upon arrival in Philadelphia, explore our first nation’s Capital at “America’s most historic square mile’s” with a local guide. Visit Independence National Historical Park featuring the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. See Christ Church, founded in 1695, which hosted revolutionary-era leaders and colonial members in the early days of our nation along with Betsy Ross’s home. Enjoy dinner at the City Tavern and overnight in Philly. B, D

Day 6: MAR and Broadway
Visit the Museum of American Revolution (MAR) and immerse yourself in the early road to independence through interactive galleries and recreated historical scenes. This new museum, opened in 2017, is receiving accolades as a premier attraction! Continue north to New York City and check into a midtown Manhattan hotel for a two-night stay. Dine at upscale Trattoria Trecolori, a Sunrise Traveler favorite restaurant, before settling into reserved seats for the hit Broadway musical Come From Away. B, D

Day 7: New York City Tour
Explore New York City, which briefly seved as our nation’s capital from 1789-1790, with a local guide. Spend the day exploring Central Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center and visiting the unique areas of Little Italy and Chinatown in lower Manhattan. A highlight of the tour will be a visit to poignant 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero and admission to the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Afterwards rise to the top of the brand new One World Observatory, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, for incredible panoramic views of New York City! B, L
